( he knows what she's asking... she doesn't need to be so direct in it. chalk it up to telepath things? to the sort of mother-son connection they have with one another? either way, he lets her see, rather than explain. he lets her see the way sinister has him strung up and claims that he's his, how onslaught tricks and captures him and keeps him chained as he threatens to take his power for himself. he lets her see a young franklin richards and nate saving him, spider-man and morbius and how his more empathic traits can sometimes turn him into a vampire. but it's the fight with madelyne that he really highlights β with her there at his side and the way he seems utterly crushed to find out what he had done... who jean was to him... and how heartbroken he was to have been the cause of it all... how he wished she had been his mother. )
