Honestly? Because keeping it a secret would have blown up in all of our faces eventually. Nothing stays secret here. There's probably surveillance footage, or they would have mentioned it in one of our finders, or it would have been public knowledge the next time they publish everyone's partners... if you haven't realized yet, this place likes to cause as much trouble for us as possible.

Being told not to bring it up again and complying with that request is very different from hiding that it happened from him in the first place.
