[ steve just follows the cues, listening to him and watching, and there's a different kind of excitement that comes with that, a slow build of desire that he ignores in favor of making sure that nate is as comfortable as he can be and that he's enjoying it. it might be too early to tell, but those are really the only important things to steve during all of this, pausing long enough to look down at him and take in all that flushed skin and whatever else he can make out in the shadows. the curve of his shoulders, that smile, the tension in his belly and his thighs.
